The Rebels softball team (23-19, 6-8 Mountain West) had a comeback game to remember, defeating the Colorado State Rams 7-4 on Saturday at Ram Field and winning their first Mountain West series of the season.
UNLV starter Morgan Ettinger had difficulty loading the bases to open the game. This continued in the second inning as she gave a leadoff single to CSU’s Hayleigh Evans, committing another error to Justine Federe at second base, placing runners at second and third with no outs. Madison Kilcrease was then able to drive home Evans with a sacrifice fly, pushing their lead to 3-0.
