UNLV forward Troy Baxter Jr. was scheduled to have X-rays on his knee Friday, a day after he took a tumble in the Rebels’ 71-53 loss to No. 3 Kansas at the Thomas & Mack Center.
Rebels coach Marvin Menzies said after the game that Baxter hurt his knee and lower back, but didn’t know the severity. Baxter appeared to injure his right knee, but was not limping when he walked into the locker room.
Menzies could have an update on Baxter as early as Saturday. The freshman has played in all 13 games, averaging 4.5 points and 2.
