Following a loss in the Elite Eight to Vanderbilt in the NCAA Championships last May, the UNLV’s men’s golf team and decorated coach Dwaine Knight look to return to the NCAA Championships this year with a different end result.
Knight has been a staple on UNLV’s campus for the last 30 years, having brought up the men’s golf program from the ashes and transforming it into one of the nation’s best.
Knight’s excellence was finally recognized by UNLV in November of last year when it was announced that the professional golf management center located in the new Harrah’s hospitality building would be named the Dwaine Knight Center For Golf Management.
