In desperate need of a win, the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels squandered away a 27-point first half lead to the 1-4 Air Force Falcons on Saturday night.
The Rebels got off to an early lead after running back Lexington Thomas scored on a 55-yard run just one minute and 58 seconds into the ballgame.
Thomas finished the game with 17 carries for 91 yards and a touchdown. On the season, he has rushed for 625 yards on 82 carries and nine touchdowns. He rushed for at least 145 yards in three of his team’s six games, with a rush of at least 23 yards in every game.
