What an eventful, if not awful, week it was for the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
Twenty nine-year-old Russian star Khabib Nurmagomedov captured the UFC lightweight championship of the world, and 25-year-old Milwaukee native Rose Namajunas took an exciting grudge-match victory over Poland’s Joanna Jedrzejczyk. Both of these events were unfortunately overshadowed (for all of the wrong reasons) by Conor McGregor.
McGregor, 29, erupted in a violent outburst last Thursday in Brooklyn at the loading docks of the Barclays Center as he attacked a bus loaded up with fighters set to compete at UFC 223.
On the bus (along with several others) was the-now lightweight champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov.
