Tiger on Top: Tiger Woods claims Tour Championship

Capping the PGA Tour schedule, Tiger Woods did something he hasn’t done in over five years: win.

In his 18th start of the season, Woods won the Tour Championship Sunday, Sept. 23, in Atlanta, Ga. It was his seventh top-10 finish of the season. He finished at (-11) with Billy Horschel coming in second at (-9). Number one overall player in the Official World Golf Rankings, Dustin Johnson, finished third at (-7).

UNLV golf coach Dwaine Knight said, “Anytime he’s in the hunt or has a chance to win, it pushes the needle. He really drives a lot of interest in this sport.
