The UNLV Runnin’ Rebels overcame 18 turnovers in Wednesday, Feb.14’s contest 81-73 win over Air Force by not committing one in the final four minutes of the game.
Senior guard Jordan Johnson took over the game during that stretch leading players to right spot with precise passes.
“He was really good late with his communication as well,” UNLV head coach Marvin Menzies said. “He was making sure guys were matched up, making sure they knew the defense. Again, points are for the glory, we want guys to score points obviously but we want to win. When the ball is not dropping for you, you have to do things to help your teammates be successful.
