UNLV competed at the 2018 Mountain West Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships from Feb. 14-17 in San Antonio. Despite their goal of surpassing last year’s eighth place finish, they completed the competition with the same ranking.
“We are not a large squad, but our goals include breaking school records, podium finishes for relays, qualifying for NCAAs, and of course moving up in the team rankings,” head coach Ben Loorz said in a press release before the championships.
Though the Rebels did not break any school records or move up in the team rankings, both the 200 free relay and the 400 medley relay earned a place on the podium.
