UNLV soccer legacy Susie Bernal predicts a victorious season for women’s soccer.
Azucena “Susie” Bernal, 21, was born in Morelia, Mexico. She relocated to Denver with her family at age four. It wasn’t until Susie was 10 years old that she moved to Las Vegas. Susie never imagined attending college at UNLV, let alone playing college soccer.
“My household was soccer 24/7,” Bernal said. “Every hour of the day there was soccer on TV. I don’t know how, or where, but my dad always found a game to watch.”
Bernal played soccer as a kid with her older brother, former UNLV men’s soccer star Salvador Bernal.
