When the clock struck 8 a.m. on Thursday in the City National Arena, it signified the beginning of UNLV’s hockey practice. Only a few practices remain before the Skatin’ Rebels head out to Frisco, Texas, for the American Collegiate Hockey Association National Championship Tournament.
The beginning of practice also marks exactly one week before UNLV’s opening round matchup against Robert Morris.
The Skatin’ Rebels, currently ranked 13th, face a long road ahead in the tournament. The Rebels will have to win five games in six days they wish to be called national champions at the end of the year.
