After a rough opener, the UNLV Rebels baseball team rebounded for back-to-back wins to end a Mountain West series against the San Jose Spartans.
Earlier in the season, UNLV dropped all three on the road in San Jose. Moreover, each game was decided by a run.
Head coach Stan Stolte captured his 100th victory as the lead man in the Rebels’ dugout at the conclusion of the first win with the freshmen continuing to be strong in the team’s development.
The relievers were credited with both of the wins since they were involved in the decision regarding every game during the weekend set.
