Rebels race past Miners to pick up first win

UNLV used 414 rushing yards to run through University of Texas-El Paso, 52-24, en route to the team’s first win of the season.

Head coach Tony Sanchez said, “I thought the guys came out offensively and we played really well. We scored on five of our first six possessions. Defensively, we started a little slow, kind of a hangover from last week. But they found their footing and did a good job down the stretch.”

The team used its three-headed monster—Lexington Thomas, Charles Williams and Xzaviar Campbell—out of the backfield to power the Rebels to a showstopping performance.
