The UNLV men’s soccer team leaped to four-straight home wins with Friday’s 3-2 victory over University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in Western Athletic Conference play, landing them a 3-1 record in league play. They are tied for third place with nine points, only two points behind Seattle.
The 1-1 tie early in the second half broke once forward Danny Musovski stole the ball and then passed it to midfielder Jesus Partida, who fed it to midfielder Timo Mehlich, allowing the sophomore to score a goal from the middle of the box in the 51st minute. This was Mehlich’s second goal of the season.
