San Jose State’s Terrell Brown scored the game-winning basket for the Spartans (13-10, 6-6 Mountain West) on a driving layup with 13.1 seconds left. UNLV (10-16, 3-10) did not call a timeout, and Mooring’s shot failed to go in.
UNLV’s Tyrell Green tied the game at 74 on a 3-pointer with 39 seconds remaining.
