After winning their first game of the season Saturday night, the Rebels failed to capitalize off of the momentum they started in dropping to 1-4 Sunday night in a 66-62 loss to Middle Tennessee State University at home inside of the Cox Pavilion.
Senior forward/center Katie Powell registered yet another good game in which she led UNLV in scoring, as she pulled down 6 boards to go along with a game-high 22 points on 6-14 shooting (3-6 from 3). UNLV’s Jordyn Bell, a senior forward out of Elk Grove, California, also finished with 10 points on 4-7 shooting along with 5 rebounds.
