Junior point guard Daquan Cook, suspended from the UNLV basketball team Nov. 3 after being arrested for driving under the influence, is expected to be reinstated today.
The Rebels also anticipate the return of 7-foot freshman Stephen Zimmerman Jr., who has been sidelined since Dec. 19 with a thigh injury.
Two days after his arrest in Las Vegas, Cook was suspended for the 13-game nonconference season. At the time, coach Dave Rice said Cook's status would be re-evaluated before Mountain West play, which begins Wednesday when UNLV hosts Fresno State at the Thomas & Mack Center.
"He's making progress toward being reinstated," Rice said.
