The UNLV track & field program broke a record by a landslide on the first day of the University of Washington’s Husky Classic on Friday, Feb. 9 in Seattle. Quartet Yamilet Biggers, Spencer Moore, Avi’Tal Wilson-Perteete and Elisa Rovere conquered the distance medley relay record by nearly seven seconds with a time of 11:38:42. The group finished third overall, but their time was one for the books.
Wilson-Perteete led the race in the 1200-meter with 3:27, Biggers followed in the 400 with 56.5, Moore ran the 800 with 2:15.1 and Rovere finished the event with 4:59.7 in the 1600.
