Rebel softball adds 4 wins, 2 losses at Marucci Desert Classic

The Rebels’ Softball team continued their winning ways over this past weekend, as the team improved their record to 8-3 on the season after the six-game Marucci Desert Classic.The Rebels entered the tournament with a 4-1 record after a successful opening to the season. After sweeping a double-header over Idaho State and Buffalo to open the weekend, the team improved to 6-1, the best record they’ve recorded to start the season since 2010. Against Idaho State, the Rebels busted the game open in the bottom of the 2nd, scoring four of their five runs to take a commanding 4-0 lead as the team never relinquished the lead, winning 5-3.
