UNLV sophomore quarterback Armani Rogers couldn’t adjust to the rainy weather in Jonesboro, Arkansas as he threw three interceptions en route to a 27-20 loss to the Arkansas State Red Wolves Saturday, Sept. 22.
The loss sends UNLV to 2-2 heading into the team’s bye week before opening up conference play at home against New Mexico Oct. 6.
Head coach Tony Sanchez said, “Tough loss, tough one to swallow there. I felt like at times we put ourselves in position to win the game, but we had too many unforced errors.”
Rogers, who came into this game with only one interception on the year, threw two to Red Wolf defensive back Jerry Jacobs in the first half.
