From the first day of 2015 training sessions, UNLV women’s soccer head coach Chris Shaw decided in order to get the best out of the team, he had to become part of it.
“I’m here for the long haul and until they actually see that, words are cheap,” he said. “Training from day one that year, it was another level and that sparked the culture shock.”
The UNLV Rebels finished the 2015 regular season on a four-game win streak and Shaw believed he was onto something. “We knew we were going to be talented because the group we had wasn’t much different from the year before,” he said.
