In much need of a conference win, the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels suffered a heartbreaking 93-91 overtime loss to the Boise State Broncos Saturday, Feb. 3. Four of the last six games that have taken place in Idaho have gone into overtime.
The win gave the Broncos a season series sweep over the Rebels after winning 83-74 in late December to open conference play.
After losing to the second team in the Mountain West Conference, UNLV (16-7, 5-5) heads north to take on rival Nevada-Reno (20-4, 9-1), Wednesday, Feb. 7.
In comparison to December’s meeting, this contest was much more closely contested.
