Public figures at UNLV have been discussing the want and need for a new stadium for years. With that said, the site UNLV intends to use for a potential new stadium still hasn’t been purchased.
The site in question is a 42-acre parcel of land on Tropicana and Koval, between campus and the MGM Grand. While UNLV is in talks to purchase the site from Wells Fargo, final plans have not yet been made.
If the land is purchased, UNLV has two different potential plans for the site: a campus village with housing and retail areas, or a new stadium.
