The UNLV Rebels men’s tennis team achieved their fourth win in the last five outings by upping the Marquette Golden Eagles 5-2 on March 16.
Ranked 89th in the nation in singles competition, senior Alexandr Cozbinov continued his fine play and gave the Rebels the early edge in doubles by teaming up with fellow senior Courtney Lock. The pair took down Marquette’s duo of Alvaro Verdu and Brett Myers, 7-5.
Freshman Jordan Sauer and junior Richard Solberg also won their doubles match over the Golden Eagles’ Scott Christian and Luke Smrek. The doubles point won by the Rebels marks their eighth consecutive match in which they have won the doubles point.
