After nearly three straight weeks away from home, the Rebels finally played their first game back on campus at Peter Johann Field since Sept. 9.
The road proved to be unkind to the team, as they came into Friday night with a three-game losing streak, all as the visitor. the Rebels found their groove again against a middling California Baptist University squad.
The Rebels began the season strong at 5-2, but a 1-3 road trip this month dropped them to .a 500 overall record heading into their match with Cal Baptist.
In their past three games, UNLV had managed only a single goal total, and while they didn’t exactly put on an offensive onslaught, a goal scored just over 40 minutes into the game provided enough offense to pick up a victory.
