The UNLV Lady Rebels showed their resilience Saturday, Jan. 27, coming back from an 18-point first half hole on the road to beat the San Diego State Aztecs 75-64.
With 5:33 left in the second quarter, the outcome appeared bleek for UNLV. The Lady Rebels were down 35-17 after having just battled back from an early 16-3 deficit to open the game.
Till this point, the San Diego State Aztecs appeared to be unguardable. They hit a combined four three-pointers and senior guard Khalia Lark already scored 12 of her 17 points in the night.
This would prove to be the turning point in the game.
