The Vegas Golden Knights kicked off their NHL preseason campaign on Sept. 17 in Vancouver with a convincing 9-4 win over the Canucks at Rogers Arena. The problem? Many Las Vegas-area fans were unable to watch the game because of ongoing issues with TV deal negotiations with some valley cable providers.
The team announced on May 22 that AT&T Sportsnet Rocky Mountain would be the broadcasting home of the Golden Knights’ inaugural season in the NHL. At the time, only Dish Network and DirecTV carried the channel in Nevada, which also broadcasts in Montana, Idaho, Wyoming and Utah.
