Chosen at the 38th pick of the 2016 Draft, Patrick McCaw is now an NBA rookie. He’ll have another rookie mentoring him this year in the form of seven-time NBA All-Star and 2014 league MVP, Kevin Durant.
“KD [Durant] reached out to me like a few days ago through text and told me that we’re both rookies coming to the Warriors,” McCaw said during an interview. “He’s going to take me under his wing… It was kind of cool seeing him text my phone, you know? A guy like that, you never would expect to even be in the same room so, it’s a great feeling.
