Richard James Mapp, a former wide receiver for the UNLV football team, pleaded guilty to two felony charges Wednesday.
Mapp is being charged with one count of child abuse and one count of pandering for forcing a minor to engage in prostitution, according to court documents.
Mapp was arrested in October, and Nevada Attorney General Adam Laxalt brought charges against him in January.
“My office has made it a priority to protect the most vulnerable in our communities, and today’s guilty plea is another example of these efforts,” Laxalt said in a statement. “I’m proud of the investigators and prosecutors in my office for working with the Southern Nevada Human Trafficking Task Force to advance their mission and protect victims of crime.
