Just less than a week away from his 66th birthday, former Bishop Gorman standout and Raiders Quarterback David Humm passed away due to complications on Tuesday, March 27 from multiple sclerosis. The Las Vegas native also attended the University of Nebraska, where he quarterbacked the Cornhuskers for three seasons.
Humm threw for over 5,000 yards and 40 touchdowns in his three years at Nebraska before being drafted in the fifth round as the 128th overall pick in the 1975 NFL Draft by the Oakland Raiders. Humm’s passing comes just as the Raiders are readying themselves to become Las Vegas’ own team.
