It’s award season for collegiate baseball and five UNLV Rebel baseball players are taking home hardware.
Junior shortstop Bryson Stott was named the Mountain West’s Tony Gwynn Co-Player of the Year, becoming the fourth Rebel player to do so and the first since Xavier Scruggs in 2008.
Throughout the duration of the year, Stott led UNLV with a .364 batting average, 21 doubles and 10 home runs on the season.
In conference play, the All-American infielder piloted the Mountain West in slugging percentage (.618), and walks (54; next closest 40). In addition, he tallied 66 total runs scored and also tops in the conference.
