After playing God for three seasons, the Warriors are mortals again. Among the best of them, but mortals nonetheless. With Kevin Durant departing to Brooklyn and Klay Thompson being sidelined until the all-star break, there is a power vacuum in the west; And power vacuums tend to create anarchy.
There might be just two bad teams in the west this year, although both the Grizzlies and Suns are loaded with young talent, and seem poised to escape that label soon enough.
