The UNLV Rebels competed at NCAA Diving Zones in Flagstaff, Arizona March 5-7. Senior diver Mykalla Fielding qualified for the 2018 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships, making her the first UNLV women’s diver in over 15 years to do so.
On the first day of the event, Fielding placed 14th on the 1-meter with her 266.25. Meanwhile, freshman diver Jesse Cawley placed 15th on the three-meter with a score of 290.80.
“Going into today, we knew this was going to be everyone’s hardest events,” diving coach Landon Marzullo said. “I’m really happy with how Mykalla held her composure on the one-meter.
