Turmoil in the capital
The Wizards have a problem. Well, multiple. They’re 2-8 and currently sit second to last in the Eastern Conference, only slightly ahead of dilapidated Cleveland. They’re dead last in opponent points per game, giving up an average of 120.5 a night and are sitting just 21st in the league in offensive rating, at 106.2.
Their two best players, John Wall and Bradley Beal, are owed $64,893,019 and $69,575,775 combined in the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons, Wall seeing an increase in salary every year until the 2022-23 season where he will make $46,872,000 at age 32.
