If the summertime headlines weren’t dominated with the National Football League national anthem protests or LeBron James going to Los Angeles, the conversation would have been about the WNBA’s lack of pay for its players.
Ok, maybe not, but therein lies the problem. This a professional basketball league with tremendous talent and furthermore, this season has been a great one for the league. From injuries to a familiar GOAT sighting in Phoenix and new WNBA Finals participants, this league is earning more and more respect every day.
Or at least it should be. Angel McCoughtry of the Atlanta Dream tore ligaments in her left knee with just two weeks left in the season.
