After falling behind early in the first inning, the Las Vegas Aviators had their season brought to an end by way of a 7-3 loss to the Sacramento River Cats Sunday afternoon at the Las Vegas Ballpark.
The win for the River Cats marked the first time either team won back-to-back games in the series. In addition, the Las Vegas franchise is still looking for it’s first playoff series win since 1988.
Having already been left without staples Seth Brown, Sheldon Neuse and Franklin Barreto and company in the lineup for Aviator manager Fran Riordan due to major league call-ups, the team played this winner-take-all without another star for another reason.
