Five takeaways from the UNLV basketball team's 87-83 loss on Tuesday at New Mexico:
1. Stephen Zimmerman Jr. is going to carry a big load with fellow forward Ben Carter out for the season with a knee injury. Zimmerman played 38 minutes for the second game in a row, and he tired down the stretch. That's going to be a challenge for Zimmerman and his coaches going forward.
2. The transition game is more important than ever. UNLV used some four-guard sets against the Lobos, and the Rebels will have to continue to go with that kind of lineup.
