Walker Zimmerman replaces Tim Ream on USMNT roster

United States Men’s National Team head coach Gregg Berhalter has made a change to his upcoming World Cup qualifying roster. Nashville SC centerback Walker Zimmerman has been added to the roster ahead of the opening of camp next week. He replaces Fulham FC centerback Tim Ream, who has withdrawn from the team for family reasons.

Zimmerman was a part of the USMNT roster during the September World Cup qualifying window, however he did not make an appearance in qualifiers against El Salvador, Canada, or Honduras. He did feature for the USMNT during the group stage of the 2021 Gold Cup before he had to withdraw from the team due to injury.
