USMNT at Honduras: Match Thread & TV Guide

After an unexpected and disappointing home loss to Costa Rica, the United States men’s national team have their backs against the wall in World Cup qualifying. While technically not a must-win scenario on Matchday 8, a trip to San Pedro Sula is almost a must-not-lose if they want to clinch automatic qualification into the World Cup. A loss today would shoot Honduras past the U.S. by a full three points with only two matches remaining. The fourth spot, a trip to a two-legged playoff with AFC, still exists as a parachute for one CONCACAF team.
