United States Men’s National Team head coachGregg Berhalter will assemble an initial training camp roster of 21 players in an effort to prepare two teams for summer competitions. Today, U.S. Soccer announced that a combined training camp for the USMNT and the U-23 national team will commence Sunday in Annapolis, Maryland. The group will initially consist of some players who are on the Gold Cup 40-man provisional roster as well as some U-23 players who are preparing for their own training camp that takes place in June in Salt Lake City.
Berhalter will keep the combined camp together for one week, when players not on the provisional Gold Cup roster will leave and be replaced by a full MNT camp roster of players eligible for selection for the final 23-man Gold Cup roster.
