The United States Men’s National Team are Gold Cup champions, after an Uno A Cero victory over Mexico in the final Sunday night in Las Vegas. A 117th minute goal by Miles Robinson was the difference in a match that had chances on both sides and, despite the lack of scoring, was a worthy final. The USMNT now have won 2 Concacaf titles over their main rivals in the span of 7 weeks.
Not only was Miles Robinson the scorer of the game-winning goal, off a Kellyn Acosta free kick that found Robinson’s head at the edge of the 6 yard box, but he had an incredible performance at centerback for the Americans.
