It was far from the prettiest of group stage performances, but the Americans came out atop Group B and are set to face Jamaica in the Gold Cup Quarterfinals on Sunday night in Arlington, TX.
The Reggae Boyz defeated both Suriname & Guadeloupe before falling to Costa Rica and settling for second place in Group C. But these guys have a knack for doing well in this tournament. They’re sure to be a very pesky opponent.
Especially considering Gregg Berhalter’s men struggled against weaker opponents in the group stage. A single early goal was all the USMNT could muster in an otherwise disappointing group stage finale against Canada.
