The United States will play Chile’s women’s national team for the first time in two friendlies int his FIFA window.
Chile is ranked 39 worldwide by FIFA and has qualified for their first ever World Cup for 2019. American fans may be familiar with a couple of names on the roster - Yanara Aedo spent some time with the Washington Spirit - but the majority of the team plays in Chile or Spain while Chile’s starting goalkeeper, Christiane Endler, plays her club football for Paris Saint-Germain.
Although a US win should be likely, Chile has several players with lots of international experience, and US depth could be impacted by players who are still working their way back to 100%, among them Kelley O”Hara, Morgan Brian, Rose Lavelle, and Mallory Pugh.
