The United States under-20 men's national team defeated the New York Cosmos of the NASL, 2-0 in a friendly held at the Cosmos' Training Facility in Uniondale, New York.
Jeremiah Gutjahr opened the scoring in the 46th minute via an assist from Jonathan Suarez.
Suarez scored a goal of his own in the 67th minute.
JT Marcinkowski made three saves to earn the shutout in net.
The u-20s are currently engaged in a training camp in Basking Ridge, New Jersey. They face New York Red Bulls II of the USL on August 7th at the Red Bulls' Training Facility.
