USA team news: Dempsey, Pulisic and Wood lead the line

The veteran and the youngster are both in the starting side and will headline the attack along with the Hamburg striker

Clint Dempsey is just one goal away from matching Landon Donovan's all-time USA scoring record and will get a chance to go at from the start in Saturday night's friendly against Venezuela.

Joining the veteran in the attack are Borussia Dortmund youngster Christian Pulisic and Bobby Wood, who is making his first appearance of 2017.

Fabian Johnson and DeAndre Yedlin are both also making their first appearances of the year as Bruce Arena calls on a strong side to kick off a busy summer, with Geoff Cameron and John Brooks manning the back line in front of Tim Howard.
