United States veteran Brad Davis will announce his retirement on Thursday after signing a one-day contract with the Houston Dynamo, the MLS club said on Tuesday.
Davis, 34, spent his entire club career in Major League Soccer, with 10 of his 15 seasons with the Dynamo, for whom he holds club records in games, minutes and assists.
He walks away after playing for Sporting Kansas City last season. In total, he scored 60 goals in 419 careers MLS games, including the playoffs.
Davis made 17 appearances for the U.S. since his international debut 2005 and played at the 2014 World Cup.
