The United States will play home friendlies against Iceland on Jan. 31 and Canada on Feb. 5 as it prepares for World Cup qualifiers against Guatemala in March.
Both games will be at Carson, California, U.S. Soccer confirmed on Tuesday. ESPN FC's Doug McIntyre previously reported the plans for the friendlies last week.
Players on the national team and under-23 team will gather in Carson for a training camp starting Jan. 4. Because the games are not on FIFA fixture dates, the squad will be filled with mostly U.S.-based players.
The Americans play World Cup qualifiers against Guatemala on March 25 and 29, with the first match in Guatemala City and the second in Columbus, Ohio.
