All that's missing now for Jozy Altidore are the goals. Altidore, the U.S. national team's undisputed starting target forward heading into this summer's fast-approaching Copa America Centenario, has quietly been in fine form for Toronto FC even though he's yet to score.
A recurrence of the hamstring injuries that have plagued him in recent years forced Altidore to miss most of TFC's first three games. But the 26-year-old has now gone 90 minutes in each of his last two matches, and has set up goals for his Reds teammates in his last three outings. "This is only my third start," Altidore told ESPNFC after Saturday's 2-0 victory against the Montreal Impact, in which Altidore drew the penalty that resulted in Sebastian Giovinco's game-winner.
