The United States earned a berth in the semifinals of the Copa America Centenario with 2-1 defeat of Ecuador in Seattle on Thursday night.
The Americans, who finished top of Group A, have never reached this stage in the tournament, but rode goals from Clint Dempsey and Gyasi Zardes to overcome the South Americans.
