Terrence Boyd is back on the sidelines after suffering a setback in his return from a knee injury. The striker has a cyst on his knee which will require surgery to remove and keep him out for 10 days, Red Bull Leipzig tweeted. He will resume his rehab after that.
Boyd has been out since December of 2014, when he tore the ACL in his right knee. He underwent reconstructive surgery to repair the ligament and began rehab in the fall. Red Bull Leipzig didn't provide a timeline for his return to match play, but it was expected to be soon.
