Toronto FC announced that it has “mutually parted ways” with former United States international striker Terrence Boyd. Boyd signed with the MLS club in March after struggling to break into the Starting XI of German 2. Bundesliga side SV Darmstadt 98.
Boyd made 13 appearances for Toronto (11 in MLS and 2 in the CONCACAF Champions League), but he only played 423 total minutes for the 2017 MLS Cup champions. He failed to score or assist in his brief time with Toronto. Shortly after Boyd’s release, German 3. Liga (third division side) side Hallescher FC announced his signing to the club.
